smile... a guards that smile….

I was really taken aback by this guard at my house. As soon as my car drove by the side of the guard house to swipe my car (where it goes tit tit tit),  he gave me a big smile. (mana ada sodom... dia senyum kat semua orang) This is no ordinary smile but a smile that shows he enjoys the human contact part of his job.  Zainal Abidin (headwind) sang lovely song Puteri, Hijau etc... Met him today on the Golf course... seriously no one hits the ball with the driver and smile. It was scorching hot and this guy still looks at me and smile... geez don’t know how he managed betul betul Puteri Puteri... malam ku dingin tiada pujuk rayumu
Kembalilah... ku kehilangan tawa mesramu itu

There are a lot of research base on smile and all of the research shows the beauty of a smile.  Even in movies it states about a smile in “when a man loves a woman”(which I saw for 12 times not counting the DVD sessions... yes “dalam hati ada taman, waterfall the whole works) when Andy Garcia told Meg Ryan during the Graduation for Alcholics....

“me too... me too... My Wife is an alcoholic, the best person I’ve ever met.  She has  600 kind of smiles. They (the smiles) can lite up your life, they can make you laugh...out loud just like that, they can even make you cry just like that...that is just with her smile...” the dialogue is something like that.. I remember it word for word...because its a great pick up line... nope strike out the wife part..

Even Justin Bieber (U smile) sang a song about smile (nope I am not a Bieber fan) the lyric is something like this....

Ain't no way you're ever gon' get

Any less than you should

Cause baby

You smile I smile (oh)

Cause whenever
You smile I smile

Hey hey hey

Your lips, my biggest weakness

Shouldn't have let you know

I'm always gonna do what they say (hey)

If you need me
I'll come running

From a thousand miles away

When you smile I smile (oh whoa)

You smile I smile
Hey

Baby take my open heart and all it offers

Cause this is as unconditional as it'll ever get
You ain't seen nothing yet
I won't ever hesitate to give you more

Cause baby (hey)
You smile I smile (whoa)

You smile I smile
Hey hey hey
You smile I smile
I smile I smile I smile
You smile I smile
Make me smile baby

You can't put a price on a smile, so goes the popular saying (okay they have to work on this more) A smile starts a relationship, ends war (between spouses....yup I know I did research on this),

Heals girlfriends etc even affairs

It's really good to hear your voice saying my name
It sounds so sweet
Coming from the lips of an angel
Hearing those words it makes me weak

And I never wanna say goodbye
But girl you make it hard to be faithful
With the lips of an angel

Erin Heerey, says smiles act as a form of "social currency – a valuable reward that people will pay to receive". She says her research suggests they have the power to do anything from luring shoppers to spending more than they intended to creates lucrative working relationships. That’s business for you.

It is an action that could enhance the good vibes of your soul (tak tahu apa makna but feel it yourself and tell me)

Dame Sybil Hathaway sums it up best, "Smile, damn it !! Smile." (yes yang ini tahu makna... lebih lagi dah pakai damn damn... tu memang clear cut)

There a couple of research which I took to incorporate in this article.. Such as

Smiling is a great way to make yourself stand out while helping your body to function better (okay don’t ask me when).
Smile to improve your health, your stress level, and your attractiveness (really works... when I smile i play better golf no wonder my Pro said smile while you’re hitting the ball... difficult to do... bukan senang but Tiger didn’t do it and he lost, Rory and Luke Donald did They won).

Smiling is just one fun way to live longer read about the others and try as many as you can.

Smiling Makes Us Attractive (still trying to figure this one out everytime I look in the mirror)
Smiling Changes Our Mood (it does)
Smiling Is Contagious (it is)
Smiling Relieves Stress (yup it does)
Smiling Boosts Your Immune System (tak tahu but I believe in the Prophet SAW and Patch Adams)
Smiling Lowers Your Blood Pressure (still have BP high when someone gives me the finger)
Smiling Releases Endorphins, Natural Pain Killers and Serotonin (tak Faham)
Smiling Lifts the Face and Makes You Look Younger (okay this one doesn’t work for me but it sure does work for my In-Laws [nope not blowing sunshine it’s true] and most of my friends including my wife [this is industrial blower})
Smiling Makes You Seem Successful (okay it does)
Smiling Helps You Stay Positive (more positive than negative)

Smile : Naturally Taught

Many people think that a person learns to smile as he learns to speak. But there are evidences of a baby smiling in a mother's womb. See this link [http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/health/3105580.stm (this entire phrase I copied so you understand it)

Prophet SAW smiles everday. Abdullah ibn Haarith, radi Allahu 'anhu, said,"I have neverseen any one who smiled more than Allah's Messenger." (Jami Tirmidhi)
Jarir, radi Allahu 'anhu, reported:"Since I embraced Islam Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) never refused to see me and he did not see me but with a smile on his face."(Sahih Muslim)

Prophet Muhammad S.A.W said, "Smiling in the face of your brother is charity (Sadaqa)"(Jami Tirmidhi).
Hadrat Ibn 'Abbas (God be pleased with him) relates that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) observed: "The pious offspring who casts a single look of affection at his parents receives a reward from God equal to the reward of an accepted Hajj." (Sahih Muslim)

The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: “Charity is prescribed for each descendant of Adam every day the sun rises.” He was then asked: “From what do we give charity every day?” The Prophet answered: “The doors of goodness are many…enjoining good, forbidding evil, removing harm from the road, listening to the deaf, leading the blind, guiding one to the object of his need, hurrying with the strength of one’s legs to one in sorrow who is asking for help, and supporting the feeble with the strength of one’s arms–all of these are charity prescribed for you.” He also said: “Your smile for your brother is charity.” – Fiqh-us-Sunnah, Volume 3, Number 98
Prophet SAW said “Do not abuse anyone…Do not look down upon any good work, and when you speak to your brother, show him a cheerful face.” (Sunan of Abu-Dawood, Hadith 1889)
Okay the whole part of the article is about a simple smile... I just want to point out that a lot of people bila dah mula beramal dengan tekun dan istiqomah dah mula masam muka..... aduhhh.. why such attitude.. cuba tengok the Prophet SAW how come he doesn’t behave as such. Muka giler punya masam depa ni nak tegur pun payah. Even if you give salam they would reply but adduuuhhh takda senyum langsung.  Kalau Imam imam ni pun sama aje... bila dah jadi Imam tu aduhh masamnya muka.. I like this one particular Imam in Wangsa Melawati/wangsa Maju Ustaz Murshidi.. always smiling. I like to see him very pious, humble and so down to earth. Now that is what I call a true Prophet SAW follower. Ada banyak yang lain but this Ustaz is the person I notice. We really have to change and get the people to understand and love our community not fear us. Don't let me start dengan yang selalu pi Masjid and the rich and famous aduh… Not forgetting all the Beautiful Ladies…. Lagi lah oh yes with all the handsome guys.. come on guys Allah SWT gives us this beautiful smile lets do charity...
As a reminder if you see me not smiling it is not because i don’t want to but GAS problem... seriously correct me for I am learning... peace and salam
